- The Shaastra Online Quiz has a reputation for being one of the best online quizzes around, and we don’t intend to change that. This year, it returns with tougher and better questions. So gear up, brush up your Google and Wiki skills, and don’t rely only on your stannous optical organs – it is not going to be that easy.
- Update 1: Online Quiz Set 1 uploaded on 01/09/09 at 1200 hrs.
- Update 2: Online Quiz Set 2 uploaded on 08/09/09 at 1200 hrs.
- Update 3: Online Quiz Set 2 deadline extended to 2359 hrs 15/09/09.
- Update 4: Online Quiz Set 3 uploaded on 16/09/09 at 1500 hrs.
- Update 5: Due to internal problems, Problem Set 4 could not be uploaded on 23/09/09. It will be uploaded on 24/09/09 along with Set 3 Solutions. However, please note that deadline for Set 3 is over.
- Update 6: Problem Set 4 has been uploaded on 24/09/09 at 1400 hrs.
Online Quiz_Event Format
1. The Quiz shall consist of 4 sets of 10 questions each. (They will be in .pdf format)
2. There may be one to three members per team.
3. The Quiz is open to both school and college students.
4. Contestants will have one week to send in their entries.

Online Quiz_Rules and Regulations
1. A team may send only one entry per set.
2. All entries must be sent to the email address specified, with the subject line 'Online Quiz Answers'.
3. Entries should contain names, contact details, and institutes of team members.
4. The deadline for receipt of an entry is 11:59 pm on the final day of time limit.
5. Any form of sharing of answers between teams would lead to disqualification of the concerned teams.

1. When will the first set be uploaded?
Ans. A tentative launch date of September 1st.
2. Should teams necessarily be from the same institute
Ans. No, mixed institute teams are allowed.
3. Is a Ph.D in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy a prerequisite for attempting IIT-M quizzes
Ans. Duh...

Important Note: Please register yourself at the Shaastra user portal before sending in your entry. Only entries of registered teams will be evaluated.
